1. Why should I work with the On-Line Guitarist?
This on-line session guitar service provides great sounding guitar tracks for the professional producer, the independent songwriter, the touring band, and the recording hobbyist. The guitar parts will be recorded specifically for your songs, no pre-recorded loops used. The tracks will be composed and arranged to fit the “style” and “feel” of your song, as if the guitarist was at your recording session.
2. Can I submit a song just for review?
Yes, you can email your mp3 as an attachment to tony@hernandezmusic.com. I would be happy to give it a listen and pass on any ideas of what may be needed before any work is started.
3. Who retains the rights to the completed material?
The original copyright owner of the musical work, and sound recording still retain all rights. The On-Line Guitarist is a work for hire service, and makes no claims of copyright ownership to any material that is submitted.
4. What if I am not happy with the results of the sample mp3?
You can cancel your order free of charge, before any modifications, or payments are made. If you like the tone, and playing of the guitarist, but need to refine the part, you get one modification free of charge.
5. How do I make payments?
All payments can be made through PayPal. Before tracks are made available for download, an invoice will be e-mailed to you with a link to PayPal. (PayPal accepts all major credit cards.)
6. What if I prefer to talk in 'real time' by phone?
For "real time" access just use the studio hotline (1-612-600-5096) which allows you to talk directly to the session guitarist.
7. How do I upload my mp3?
Once the Lets Get Started page is completed you will be directed to a new page where you can upload your mp3 play-a-long track.
8. Can you get me that Hendrix vibe ?
Yes, I have great knowledge of the many different players and styles they have. I can be very open to copying a player's vibe while also striving for new sounds.
9.Will anybody else besides the guitarist/engineer hear my songs ?
No. All contact information, mp3's, and individual tracks will be kept strictly confidential. If you are interested in becoming part of an On-line guitarist.com link, success story, or news page item, feel free to ask. We love to promote our clients to the world.
10. Do I need to credit the guitarist on my new record ?
No. But it is always greatly appreciated to list a credit for the guitarist - Tony Hernandez
11. What if I have a specific melody line, or guitar sound in mind ?
Please let us know, either by uploading an additional track with scratch melody lines, or a PDF with a few lines of music notation. If you are interested in specific guitar sounds, please indicate this in the comments box.
12. Why do I need to make a $75.00 non-refundable deposit ?
We believe this is very reasonable, this is to cover a small amount of the studio time, and effort of the session guitarist, if a client wishes to cancel after a modification has been made.
13. I am an aspiring songwriter with great songs, but limited resources for recording and session players. The website mentions something about full production for songwriters, can you give more detail ?
Yes. On-line Guitarist.com is partners with Spanish Castle Studio, which is a full service music production recording studio. We have a list of session players that can be hired to produce your music along with the guidance of the session guitarist. All the sample tracks you hear on this site have been recorded and produced at Spanish Castle Studio. Every song is unique, therefore much consideration and thought must be given for a particular cost analysis of your project or song. Please feel free to call or e-mail with details about your production needs, budget, and ideas you may have.
